Healthy Heart and Circulatory System
Keeping your heart and circulatory system healthy
Cardiovascular disease - any disease of the heart and blood vessels - is one of the leading causes of death in Canada. But it doesn’t have to be. The majority of cardiovascular diseases are directly related to factors that are under your control.
At Integrative, we can work with you to identify and eliminate these factors from your life, to prevent and treat cardiovascular disease.

Our Approach
An Integrative Approach To Cardiovascular Health
At Integrative, our treatment protocols vary with each patient based on their symptoms, history, and lifestyle. We aim to identify the root cause - the core imbalances that are interfering with the health of your heart and blood vessels.
Your doctor will include testing methods to identify the root cause. These methods may include:
First Visit
What does your first visit look like?
Your first visit is the opportunity for you to share your health goals, and for your Doctor to gather vital health information that will help them to determine the root cause of your health concerns, and the best treatment plan for you.
One

Complete Medical & Lifestyle History
Your doctor will take a complete history, gathering details regarding your current and past health concerns, lifestyle, as well as current supplements and medications.
Two

Testing
If needed, your doctor will recommend additional tests, either at Integrative or with your medical doctor. They may requisition results from tests you’ve completed in the past.
They may recommended targeted cardiovascular serum tests, such as an advanced lipid panel, homocysteine, and indicators of metabolic function such as fasting glucose, fasting insulin, and hemoglobin A1C. Additionally, your doctor may recommend Heavy Metal Testing.
Treatment Plan
Your Treatment Plan
Every patient is unique. Your doctor will develop a treatment plan that addresses the root cause of your health concerns.
Your treatment plan may include a variety of tools, including:

Optimal Nutrition
Your doctor will recommend a nutrition plan supportive of cardiovascular health, emphasizing whole, unprocessed foods, while limiting inflammatory foods. They may utilize food sensitivity testing to identify foods that create inflammation in your body.

Prescriptive Movement
The health of your vasculature improves with exercise. Depending on your current state of health, your doctor may recommend a specific exercise plan, aimed at increasing circulation and aerobic fitness.

Supplemental Support
Your doctor may recommend specific herbal, nutritional, or energetic remedies, found in our Integrative Dispensary, to support your cardiovascular system.

Targeted Treatments and Therapies
We offer a wide variety of treatments on-site, specifically targeted towards improving cardiovascular health, such as Chelation Therapy, and Ozone and Oxidative Therapies.
