What are the differences between massage therapy and rolfing?

Services , Rolfing & Massage

Rolfing evaluation and treatment has a holistic approach. The adaptations and compensations that occur as a result of injury or overuse could be either the original cause or the result of the pain and dysfunction. The continuity of fasciae and it’s far reaching or distal influence from the foci of immobility could make treatment and strategy for a massage therapist difficult. A Rolfing Practitioner employing the principles of structural integration allow the fascial reorganization to provide support, stability and lift allowing the site of injury to heal and maintain a more biomechanical efficient state.
