What’s the difference between PRF and PRP for hair restoration?

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is considered a next-generation treatment compared to PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma). While both use your own blood to promote healing and hair growth, PRF contains a higher concentration of platelets and does not include additives or anticoagulants. This allows PRF to release growth factors more slowly—over 7–10 days—providing longer-lasting stimulation of hair follicles. It also includes white blood cells and stem cells, which further support tissue repair and regeneration.
